Cuyler is a member of the Saskatoon Berry Clan because of his long association with the historical mill in Keremeos where grain was ground into flour for the early settlers and sold to the Gold Rush prospectors. He has researched Okanagan history as a wheat growing area and at one time, there was a thriving water powered mill in most districts, including Vernon.
